The DTS:X Encoder Suite is the successor to DTS-HD Master Audio Suite and delivers the ability to create both legacy DTS-HD and next-generation immersive DTS:X audio bitstreams. Supporting up to 11.1 channel and object-based encoding of DTS:X Master Audio for Blu-ray Disc, Ultra HD Blu-ray and other digital media formats, the DTS:X Encoder Suite provides a critical link in delivering next-generation theatrical and episodic content for use in the home consumer market.

DTS:X Master Audio is the only codec that offers truly 24-bit lossless and discrete immersive audio for Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray and other digital formats. It supports both high-channel count and multi-dimensional object-based audio coding while maintaining full backward compatibility with legacy DTS-HD and DTS Digital Surround devices, all within a single bitstream.

In addition to support for next-generation, object-based and immersive DTS:X audio, the DTS:X Encoder Suite also provides new options for more efficiently coding DTS:X and DTS-HD Master Audio content to help reduce file sizes and bit rates.

The DTS:X Encoder Suite offers a simplified workflow that makes it easy for users to perform full-file and segment-based encodes from a wide range of input formats, including PCM WAV, AIF, BWAV and object-based M2X.
